I'm taking Aromasin. It's an estrogen inhibitor, supressing up to 95% of a woman's estrogen production.
Check and see if your 3C OVCA is an estrogen receptive one. Since mine was, I went ahead and started taking it. It makes me feel like I'm doing all I can to prevent recurrences (I'm a triple cancer survivor). Aromasin is currently in clinical trials, but I'm not waiting for the results!
Best of luck to you.
There are several that you can google. Femara, Aromatase, Aromasin, and Tamaxifen. Some of these inhibitors are also for Breast Cancer. Sorry if my spelling is wrong. There is another inhibitor called Avistan (not for hormones). Hope this helps...Cindy
Hi
I read your last post and it asked about hormone replacement therapy , this is a different thing from hormone blocker pills as hormone replacement is just what it says it replaces the hormones lost after menopause and I believe that blockers are used to treat women that have hormone dependant cancers in that they block the hormones made in the body that feed the cancer .
Im sorry that you,re doctor seems to have little time help you , Is there anyway that you could find another doctor that you would feel happier with ? .
Best wishes Angie
