Update on Doctors Vist

Good afternoon ladies.  I had a doctors appointment to review my latest ultrasound.  The results are a little more intimidating than I anticipated.  My right ovary is 8cm X 7cm X 4cm with a complex cyst inside.  The cyst contains some nodularity and thickening septations.  It has dermoid characteristics but carcinoma cannot be ruled out.  On the report, the radiologist said a tissue sample was warrented to determin what the cyst was.  The GYN doctor I seen today wanted to do the surgery himself next week.  After a few questions and talking about the situation, I am being refered to an GYN/Oncologist.  I should know late next week who I am going to see and when the surgery will be.

Thanks Marty, Gail, and Shelly for the advice the other night in the chat room.  My GYN seemed really shocked when I asked the questions about the pathology being done during the surgery and doing research on what this possibly could be.

I will try and keep everyone posted on what happens next

Ashley
