dear experts,
i had a right salphingo-oophorectomy last aug11 as i have experienced a sudden and prolonged pain. The ultrasound confirmed that i had a twisted ovary because of a cyst 15cm in size and my surgeon scheduled me in an operation right away.
i thought that i was in perfect condition a month after the operation (they also told me that i could still have a baby after they removed one of my ovaries) until my biopsy came out and it turned out to be an Atypical Proliferative Serous Tumor, extensive epithelial stratification, a foci of microinvasion was also found out. My doctor told me not to be worried because it was a blessing that the affected ovary was already slashed out of my body when i had my operation. They also advised me to have a review on my slides. Now i'm waiting with the results plus they referred me to an gyn onc. They told me not to worry but they referred me to an onc?! how does that came out?
im super terrified to the highest level. My boyfriend, family and i worry whether it is a cancer or not. is it a cancer?
