All

I haven't been around for a week or so due to a bad cold and BP issues again. this time it was running way to low, so all I have done is sleep. Yes I have been sleeping right through the beautiful weather we have been having. Normally right about now I am out enjoying the sun and the warm air and most of all mushroom hunting. But i have not even had the energy for that. Hopefully by eliminating a few of my BP meds we are finally getting this under control. (But no, I didn't sleep through the earthquakes last week, creepy!)
It seems there is controversay going on again, and I really hate to see that. I do understand though to some point. There have been so many posts lately that have nothing to do with ov ca, amd I think that is where the biggest problem lies. Many of you here may not have ov ca but have gone through the fear of not knowing. That fear in itself makes you a part of this wonderful family as you have an idea of what many of us are going through. That fear also opened your eyes and made you want to rech out to those of us suffering from ov ca. I for one am grateful for the outpour of support and encouragement form all of you. It makes me feel good to know that so many wonderful people care about what happens to little ol me! (Sorry about the typos as I am still a little tired)
We are all going through rough times and therefore it is only natural to need to lash out sometimes. After all we are only human. But as I said I think the biggest concern is all of the posts form so many out there that have nothing to do with ov ca. I think that it is a good idea of medhelp to start a forum about ovarian cysts. Because we can get posts about them everyday, but most of us can not help at all. Lets keep our family together girls.
PS  I really do not know what all has been going on, but this is my feelings on the wonderful women that are a part of this forum.
  Love to you all Chris

My son's 5th birthday is on Saturday - it's all Transformers. I had to get a lesson about Optimus Prime and Bumblebee from a 5 year old because I don't know the difference between the two. When did toys get so complicated?!
Fresh wild asparagus...that sounds yummy! I wish we had stuff like that growing around here...I'm sure we have lot's that I just don't know about.
Enjoy the party today!

Becky,
Yes I am still on Avastin and have my next CA on May 5th. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will kick in again now that I am back on a regular schedule. The Avastin did cause high BP and I had been on 3 differerent BP meds. Now that it is leveling out it is begining to run real low. So if I can get it back to normal, I am down to one med for it.
I did get out a little today and picked some asparagus which is coming up like crazy. It grows wild around here so I have my "spots" that I check every year. I still haven't felt quite up to mushroom hunting and am afraid that by the time I feel like it they will be done. And you are right, they are divine. So I am hoping to find a few anyway.
I have faith in the forum and feel that things will eventually right themselves.
My youngest granddaughters birthday is today so I am getting ready to go to her party tonight. Should be fun, as she is all about Hannah Montana right now. She has trouble pronouncing a few letters and it is a hoot to hear her say," Yock on, Hannanh Ontanna".
I hope you are able to enjoy the weather also.
Love Chris

Hey Chris...sorry to hear you've been so tired lately...I find that I have a bit more energy, but never learn my lesson to take it easy and then I burn out way to fast. My son is still going at the end of the day while I'm lying on the couch trying to rest! That's strange about your bloodpressure. Your still on the Avastin, right? I thought you were having high BP issues? I'm not sure if one is more worse than the other...
I had my 4th treatment last Wednsday and am feeling pretty good, although I'm having trouble sleeping. Not sure if that's just a menopausal thing or from the drugs.
I agree with what you are saying about the forum. It's sad to see it in such  disarray, but this too shall pass. This isn't the first time this issue has come up, nor will it be the last...I just hope we can all move on from this.
I hope you get out soon to enjoy this nice weather!
Take care,
Becky
p.s. Morrowville...those morel mushrooms sound divine!!

Now that the ovarian cyst forum is up, let's hope it lessens the traffic here.

I've been morel mushroom hunting with my hubby's family in Missouri, and OMG they're delicious!  They don't hunt mushrooms in Chicago (ha ha ha) but I think Wisconsin has them too... it's a bit late in the season, I think, but good luck to you!

Battered & fried, yep, that's my favorite!

What a nice post, and I appreciate it. That is really why I am still here, to help educate those new folks that are so frightened like I was. I think the Ovarian Cyst forum will be a good one, although I think folks will still come on this forum for more answers regarding cancer.
Thanks for posting the above.. and hope you're feeling much better soon and get the BP under control.
Love the mushroom hunting idea.. I'd end up I'm afraid picking the wrong ones and poisoning myself.
Feel better soon,
Love,
Sandy
