Am slightly worried....symptoms.....

Hi All,

Am very new to this and would appreciate any comments you may have.  Over the last 4 weeks i have had this contact nagging feeling that something isnt quite right...My stomach is contactly bloated, i have lower back pain which stops me leaning forward to just put socks on some days, an urgent need to wee, i feel tired all the time, i used to go to the gym 3 times a week and now i am down to 1, as i just dont feel as though i would have the energy to do anything on the other nights.  Also have noticed when i am at the gym my toes goe numb and also just watching my son play football last night, my toes went numb along with one of my fingers, which took at least 40 mins to get the feeling back once i got home and had a hot shower.

Needless to say after reding on the internet about the early symptoms of ovarian cancer this has worried me slighty, as a few of my symptoms above are the same.  Please dont think that i am a hypochondriac and go around looking on the web for symptoms that fit in with mine im not like that at all.  I just wondered if any of you out there had suffered any  of these symptoms and can give me any advice.  I have booked in to see my GP next Tues evening, but until then i suppose i shall just be slightly worried?

Thanks, Jo x

I just received an email this morning that lists the signs of ovca.
Ovarian Cancer Whispers - so listen..

Watch for Pelvic or abdominal pain or discomfort; vague but persistent gastrointestinal upsets such as gas, nausea, and indigestion; frequency and / or urgency of urination in the absence of an infection; unexplained weight gain or weight loss; pelvic and / or abdominal swelling, bloating and / or feeling of fullness; ongoing unusual fatigue; or unexplained changes in bowel habits. If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, ask your doctor for a combination pelvic / rectal exam, CA-125 blood test, and transvaginal ultrasound.

You are doing the right thing by seeing your doctor and you can request these tests while you are there.  Good luck, Chris P

Hi Jo,
I'm glad you have an appointment to see your doctor next week, he's the one to hear your symptoms and will order tests after he examines you.

I never heard of toe and finger numbness being a symptom of OVCA.
Good luck to you,
Jane
