Another Angel - Ladyjogger (Terry)

Terry Williams  

Terry M. Williams, 58, of East Scranton and formerly of Peckville, died Wednesday at home after a courageous 2½-year battle with ovarian cancer. She and her husband, Donald M. Williams, had been together and married for 14 years.

Born in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Lillian Coccodrilli Thompson. She was a graduate of Blakely High School and earned her degree in culinary arts from Luzerne County Community College. She was employed by Thompson Electronics for 30 years and was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Dunmore, where she served as a deacon.

Terry was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved the outdoors. She was an avid hiker who loved traveling, camping, kayaking and collecting antiques. Terry was a great friend and an excellent cook who always had a smile for everyone. She loved her dog, Gretta. She and her husband had just returned from a seven-week trip around the country. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Also surviving are two daughters, Leslie Kotcho-Giombetti and husband, Joseph, Jessup; and Robin Lynn Decker, Green Ridge section of Scranton; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Dente and husband, Joseph, Dunmore; and Courtney Cawley and husband, Frank, Pittston; a stepson, Donald M. Williams Jr., and wife, Alison, Green Ridge; a grandson, Matthew Giombetti; 11 stepgrandchildren, Keegan, Isabella, Ava and Julian Dente; Rosemarie, Juliet and Francis Cawley; Ella, Lila, Morgan and Fiona Williams; a sister, Ceil Birkett, Land O'Lakes, Fla.; four brothers, Mark Thompson, Montrose; Richard Thompson, Peckville; Lee Thompson, Somerset; and Keith Thompson, Montdale; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be Monday at 7 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church of Dunmore, 137 Chestnut St., Dunmore, to be officiated by the Rev. Kenneth H. Forbes, pastor.

Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church of Dunmore, 137 Chestnut St., Dunmore, PA 18512.

I was so shocked to see that Terry has passed away, she and I emailed for a couple of years and we became friends.

The last email I had fro her was May 10th when she said the last 3 chemos she had, put her in the hospital.

She was a gentle and sweet lady and I wish her soul peace, and my condolences to her family.
