I'm so sorry to hear about Helen. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Oh, how hard it is for her family. I remember freshair, thought her screen name was delightful. She did bring a breath of "fresh air" when she visited. If you can, let her family know that they are in our hearts and prayers.
I am so sorry, please convey my deepest condolences to the family. I will keep them all in my thoughts and prayers.
She did indeed fight a hard battle, I am greatly saddened by this news, rest in peace Helen and thank you for your friendship. Thank you Frank and Jessica for sharing this lovely Lady with us. Marty
So sad to hear about Helen. I've kept up with her battle, what a fighter. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
I am so sad to hear this news. Her battle was a continuous one, but one upon which she never gave up. Rest in peace, Helen. We miss you.
I am really sad to hear the news. I would be praying for her family.
I am truly saddened that Helen has left us. It was in March that I last heard from her, but there was no indication of this coming. I know we all prayed that the 5fu would do the trick. Pam, I know you were close and I am sorry for your loss.
My heartfelt condolences go out to her family. I know what it is like to lose a mother to this dreaded beast.
For those of you that didn't know her, Helen was an enthusiastic researcher and a huge believer in natural supplements and the bodies ability to heal itself. Below are some links to sites that Helen passed along that had medical news about a few supplements that somehow got funding for studies. She was always excited when the rare study was conducted that proved certain supplements have beneficial effects on cancer patients. Perhaps as these new studies come out it will encourage more researchers to spend time conducting studies into herbal supplements. There is also a book that she liked that talks about the minds ability to help heal the body. She was one in a million and she will be missed.
Another good book is "Love, Medicine & Miracles" by Bernie S. Siegel, M.D.
I'm just so sorry to hear of this and Pam, my thoughts are surely with you ... ,
Our hearts ache with sadness and emptiness
For, Our Angel has moved on to a new world
A world where Souls fly free
A world without pain
A world where Our Angel has Wings
We mourn for OUR loss, but let us not forget
Life is to be celebrated
And the remembrance cherished
If, our Angel could speak to us know, she would tell you…
“Please don’t cry, celebrate my life, enjoy being together on this day.
Remember my smile, my good deeds, my love for my
Family and friends, and keep me alive in your heart.”
wow...I really wasn't expecting to read this. I had no idea she was so sick.... Maybe I did, and just didn't acknowledge it as I should have. Helen was a huge source of support on this board, not only to myself, but to countless others. I really am in shock...
Rest in peace Helen...you will be terribly missed by us all.
I am so sorry. She was one of the first to respond to me when I first came to the forum. Marie
This comes as a great shock to me also. I extend my deepest sympathy to Helen's family in this difficult time.
Pam please know that my sympathy is with you as well.
Although I did not know Helen well, she was one of the many that welcomed me with open arms when I first came here, and I will forever be greatful for that.
Though she is gone and will greatly be missed, we must remember that she is in peace now. The pain is gone, as is all of her suffering.
Helen, may you rest in peace.
I am very saddened to hear of Helen's passing. Pam, my sincere condolences to you. I am sure she valued your friendship and support very much.
May she rest peacefully now. My thoughts are with her family and friends.
Oh no, this is a sad day. I always valued Helen's posts and know she has and will be missed here greatly. My heart goes out to her family and friends that loved her. Paula
I am so very sad to hear about Helen's passing.
My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.
Rest in peace Helen, you will be truly missed.
I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Helen's family, to you Pam and all that knew Helen.
I always loved this poem and i hope you do to..
You can shed tears that I’ve gone
or you can smile because I’ve lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that I’ll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all I’ve left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see me
or you can be full of the love we shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember me and only that I’ve gone
or you can cherish my memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
or you can do what I’d want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
I am so saddened by this news. I hope that all our support and heart felt best wishes bring some small comfort to her family at this difficult time. I just hate this disease that can take such wonderful people. . . . .
I am keeping her family in my prayers. I am so sad to hear of her passing. She was a great help to me when I came here a year ago.
