Just a note to add - this article is pretty anti-chemo, so read with an open mind, I'm having chemo and feel I have made the right decision but think it is important to keep an open mind to other alternatives - I'm not promoting the views in this article.
Hello Nat2.
I strongly believe in alternative medicine and advise to read all you can to educate yourself about the dangers in your foods, cosmetics, cleaning supplies and clothing(cotton), pollution, pestcides and herbicides etc, etc.
My favourite site is: www.cancertutor.com
I read it many times and now after 7 moths I feel I made the right choice not to get chemo.
I do respect people who are opting for chemo because this is their choice and that's what they believe. I just want to say that if the chemo is not successful for some reason after 6-8 rounds the alternative therapy will not help AT ALL in advanced cases. The body is too damaged to heal itself.
Cancertutor.com will explain this. We have only 8% chance to overcome ovarian cancer with chemo and we will be lucky if we live past 5-7 years. My oncologist had told me that at my first visit and I never went back to her. What kind of message she is giving me. I was only 1C/3 stage no metastasis ,Small cyst and ovary 13 cm in all.
It is good to read what to eat while chemo and after chemo. You have to change your life around like cancer did with first diagnoses. IT"S WORTH IT.
Good book to read is: "The cancer gate" by Samuel Epstein.
Love all, Misia
