My onc gave me Neulasta after every treatment until this week. I won't have it Fri after chemo on Thurs as the bone pain has gotten so bad they are going to try to do without it. I guess it works but I have never had chemo without it and I have never had blood problems. Excerise, even if mild or done sitting down can stimulate your blood cell growth. Good luck to both of you.

Glad to hear that your mom is doing so well. As Helen said, if her counts get down to low, they can give her Neulasta or Neupogen shots to build her white counts back up. Hopefully she will be able to maintain her counts. I pray that she continues to do so well. LOL Chris
I maintain some form of exercise while going through chemo. I did not drop my WBC's on either of my chemo regimens, came close with Doxil but they held in at low normal. I take vitamin B12 and 6 for red blood cells. The exercise stimulates blood cell production and helps maintain quality of life. It can be as easy as mall walking for safety. Good luck to your mom. Hi Diana...Your Mum could have Neupogen or Neulasta shots to boost the white cells if they are down. I've had Neupogen a couple of times when my white cells were low, but it does make the bones sore, so I just eat lots of fresh fruit and veggies, and don't seem to have any problem in staying on schedule for my chemo. I hope your Mum continues to do well, and she gets great results at the end of it all. Best wishes and hugs...Helen...
