Hi,
It ruptured a couple of weeks ago .To be honest the Hospital couldnt care less ! the front of my legs do ache! ive had pains on and off since .Ive never been told to have another ultrasound though!   I had to litrally fight to have one done after 3 visits to hospital !
The pain was really bad but i had it really severe on two seperate days for hours on end.
They said it may have ruptured my ovary in the process but everything will heal by itself ??

How long ago did the cyst rupture? Usually the deal is severe pain for around 24 hours then a dull ache, bloating, etc. that can last for a week or two. Then you feel normal again. Yep, sounds like a hemmorhagic cyst. That's when the egg releases and in the process breaks a small blood vessel and instead of the corpus luteum dissolving, it seals itself off with the blood inside. Usually these resolve and in resolving dump their contents into the abdominal cavity causing the pain. I had one of these and the front of my legs ached badly for a few days after. Tylenol helped immensely.

What you should do is have another ultrasound in about six weeks to be sure all is resolved, earlier if the bloating and pain in your legs continue.
