Breast Cancer last year - now possible Ovarian?

I am 41 and 12/09 I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  I lost my period obviously during Chemotherapy.  I had one so-called period (it was heavy and long) in early Jan 2010.  In between then and now, I've had two romantic times with my husband of 20 years (yay I know, but you would understand if you've been through this) :) and both times I did bleed.  The first time, it was so heavy it actually dripped out of me.  That cleared up within hours.  The next time was not as much, but I did bleed.  I avoided my husband for this reason but then I finally opened up and talked with him about it.  Now, last Wednesday I when I had my pap, I didn't know it, but my period had started.  Since then, my period has been very heavy.  I usually have only 5 days.  I am still bleeding / spotting and it's still very bright red.  Is this normal?

During this time, I also have noticed I am extremely tired, I have gained 8 lbs. since January, I have right abdominal pain that goes up to under my breasts, my stomach feels bloated, all my pants are tight on me and my belly looks like I am 7 months pregnant.  My ankles and lower leg swell at times, I have daily headaches and my legs hurt all the time.  Did I mention how tired I am? Anyway, last week I went to my ob/gyn and he said he was glad I came in.  Did a PAP test (I had pre-cancerous cells in my cervix 20 years ago) so he was concerned.  Scheduled me for an abdominal ultrasound in two days.  I am scared out of my mind I am going to have to go through chemo again and have my life shortened even more.  What do you think about these symptoms?

Any input you can provide would be great.  I am scared.  Thanks.

Lets see what the ultrasound shows before getting all worked up....no need to waste a good panic.  The symptoms could be anything....good thing that you went to the doctor and that he/she is checking everything out.

Let us know what the results are.

Hang in there.

I meant to say January 2011 for my first period since chemotherapy - not 2010.
