Thank you for answering; I was orginally diagnosed with malignant pleural effusion IIIb (a form of lung cancer) 4 years ago , I had numerous CAT scans. Even one of March of last year showed no tumor activity. In June, my abdomin began to swell; a new CAT revealed a tumors on the ovary - Ovarian Cancer IV. I was operated on in July and evrything was removed and I spent 5 weeks in the hospital. No one thought I wouls make it to Christmas I was so weak. All of a sudden, I did a complete turn around on a new chemo (Avastin and Topecan(sp). I was told my C125 had been in the 700s before the operation and now it was down to the 30s.
Now it is back up in the 600s which since I wrote,I learned means more tumor actiity, so another change in chemo - taxol and avastin. I have had approximately 115 chemos
I hope this new cocktail works.
