CAT Scan Update--Opinions Welcome

Hi everyone,

I had a CAT Scan yesterday and all turned out fine...whew.  The complex cyst on my left ovary that was 10 cm is now a complex cyst that is 2 cm.  I still have left side pain.  I am scheduled for surgery (laparoscopy) on April 4th to remove the left ovary.  I do not know if I should do it?  Do complex cysts go down like that?  It was only a short while ago it was the size of a tennis ball? How does that happen?

I have also heard that they can dissolve on their own and be excreted through your period.  But Angie makes a good suggestion, write down all your questions and concerns and talk them over with your doctor before you agree to surgery.

Good luck!

Hi,
complex cysts can go down as they can leak , I had them for many years associated with my endometriosis. The cyst might grow again or it may not there is no way of predicting this. What does your doctor say about not removing the ovary now ? you need to ask a few questions before you make a major decision about this .
