Very worried, mrb69

I am very worried and confused. It started about year ago; I had pinching pain in a very small area, which I can point exactly. It is about 5 cm below belly button and 3-4 cm to the left side. Time went by and this pain was present almost every day, but for some reason more intense at the mid cycle. I went to get it check. Ultrasound showed mass with blood supply right where the pain was. Also fibroid was detected on the left side of uterus, am not sure inside or outside. I was send for CT scans. Ct was done only on abdominal wall, not pelvic area. It came clean. Than I went for MRI, which showed bulky uterus and small cysts on each ovary. I was sent for another ultrasound. It showed mass 4.1x 1.2 x1 in the left rectus sheath. This time it was identified as a chronic hematoma, no blood supply detected. Because pain was still more intense during midcycle, and now at this time it feels like something is swollen inside on the left side, I was send to GY. He sad that my only option is to do laporoscopy. I am afraid of this, what if it is only pressure from hematoma, and it is interfering with other organs. How safe it is to do this procedure with hematoma present right around that area? Is it really only my option? Other strong symptoms I have for all this time it is very strong heartburn, every day, and several times a day. Lately I also start experienced lightness and fussy in my head, with short like a flash dizzy spells. Please can I get some answers to get my mind at peace?

Thank you so much for you response. My doctor thinks that I should see GY first and than, if everything ok there, than I should see general surgeon. I think I would try to get appointment sooner.
When I had my first ultrasound, I was asked If I had any injuries. I remember only, that last year in July or August I bumped in to furniture in the house and had bad bruise in the lower abdominal, but I don't even remember which side. Maybe that has to do something with hematoma, if that what it is. Thank you again for you support. I will keep you posted.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi There,
I guess my question would be, why do you have a hematoma in your rectus sheath. I agree that it should be evaluated. You should ask your doctor about biopsying this mass in the rectus sheath. That can be done by ultrasound guided needle biopsy. I worry that while a laparoscopic procedure will evaluate the inside of the abdomen and pelvis, it will not evaluate the abdominal wall.

Another option is to get a second opinion with a general surgeon.
please let us know what happens
take care
