Can an 1.6cm cyst cause me problems?

After dealing with daily bloating/pressure down there since last August, they have found a 1.6cm clear fluid ovarian cyst on my left ovary.
Can it be possible that something so small can be causing my problems?
The gastro doc said to go back to my gyno and see what he thinks.(BTW, he has had my CT results for a month now and I havent heard from him).
Then the gastro said he may do a colonoscopy depending on what the gyno says.

I have a right ovarian cyst 3.8cm. I've been having alot of abdominal pain/constipation/back pain/waist pain I believe a cyst can give cause all those problems. I also went to see the gastro doctor I had a EGD test done and found that I have acid reflux I believe the cyst cause that also. I'm having mine removed I've been dealing with this for a few months. My cyst have stayed the same size I guess thats good. But all these pain is driving me crazy. Just keep having your sono done to make sure it doesn't grow your be fine most of this cyst go away on it's own. P.S. are you on birth control pills they say it helps with the cyst?.

Anything that disrupts your normal ovarian function can give you problems.  Anything from abnormal cycles to the pain that you feel.  A hormonal imbalance can make you feel like you are going crazy!!

I'll bet any size cyst on the ovary can potentially cause some pain elsewhere in the body, depending on how it sits, etc.  I've had a 3.2cm cyst for years on my left ovary which never really caused any major problems until recently when it grew to 5.7cm. I had groin pain & sciatic pain at various times throughout the years that I just dealt with, and so far I am not experiencing any of those symptoms, so I can only relate it to the cyst.  Of course, I'm only 2 weeks into recovery having the cyst removed, so time will tell if that is what caused my pain.  Hope this helps & best of luck to you!
