The only way cancer can be determind for sure is by surgery and the lab tests done on the tissue. Good Luck

My dr drained a cyst about a yr ago when he was removing scar tissue. He knew it was there and had been watching it.  Going into surgery I knew I could wake up without that ovary.  He saw it and it seemed fine.  Just a simple fluid filled cyst.  I got a call the next morning from my dr to come in to the office for a ca125 test and to meet with him.  Pathology found calcified psnomma bodies in the cyst fluid.  The only way to rule out OVCA was to have a abdominal LSO 2 weeks later and have the ovary tissue tested.  A pelvic washing had to be done also to make sure anything that spilled out durring the draining was cleaned up.  I'm sure my situation is not common at all.  It was scar tissue causing my problems.  Not my cyst.  I didn't even know it was there.
