benign or cancerous cyst?

I'm 28  yers old and have been having pelvic pain o n the left side for a few weeks.  I have been having irregular periods and some spotting between periods also.  The pain also goes into my lower back.  I am so worried about this being a sign of ovarian cancer.  I need some outside perspective on what this could be.

I totally agree with Marie.  Please go to a gynecologist and get checked out.

Many conditions can cause the symptoms you describe.  I don't know where you are from, so I don't know what services are available where you are.  It would help to fill in your profile with some background info.  I suggest a good, thorough gyne exam and go from there.  You may find help in the women's health or the cyst forums.  Good luck, Marie
