:-))))))Cyber Party:-)))))

Greetings to all you Awesome Women of the Battalion!
It's Saturday and time to kick back and relax with you "Cysters".  We look forward to hearing from all the new folks who have discovered this excellent Forum, where are you from?  How was your Saturday?  Any story behind that sceen name?  Mine comes from the Air Force, the Raven was the mascot of my career field in the air and on the flightline.  Tascha goes by Gatsby after a beloved cat she had for years.  Drop in and I will have the hot tub ready and the beverages flowing!  Mary V.

My screen name is a pet name I have for one of my cats! His real name was already taken so I had to come up with an alternative!

I am in the beginning of the wait...my next ultrasound is not until 4/21. Very unnerving process to say the least! What stage are you at in this oh so fun process?

My cat's real name is George...not sure how it morphed so much!

I'm so glad it worked out so well for you. I have never had a cyst of any kind before so I'm also hoping for the best even though mine is a complex cyst which I know is different from  simple cysts which usually resolve themselves.

Must be very cold where you are! I live in LA...very different weather pattern!

Thanks for the kind words & support! It's so great to be in contact with others who have experienced this. No one I have spoken to here about this has had ovarian cysts. I guess the idea of ovarian cancer is so frightening that even the smallest chance of having it is horrendous! So great to find so much encouragement!
What do you do in Minnesota?

Oh so glad there is a cyber party tonight.  I was feeling a little blue.  (no ovaries, maybe).  Thought that this morning I would be "back to normal" and then spent two hours on the couch sleeping.  I have no story behind my screen name, obviously.

I am sorry to hear you are feeling blue. I was on the verge of tears all of last week...because of my ovary! I hope you will feel back to your usual self soon!

Well, your screen name is not nearly as "exciting" as I had imagined...I thought that maybe you  volunteer as an animal rehabilitator or that you are a wiccan.  Me and my imagination!

Hey women! I am so busy posting I almost forgot to stop by the party.

Are we talking about pets? I have two wonderful Golden Retreivers. Two girls and they are sisters, one is 10 and the other is 9. They are the best. Technically, our daughter is the official owner of Maya, the oldest one. And, then my husband wanted to be the official owner of Maddie, the 9 year old. Of course, as you can imagine...Mom here did all the work!...but had no official ownership, so to speak.

Then, while I was recovering from my surgery for ovarian cancer in Sept/Oct. of 2000, I swear those dogs did not leave my side. The older one always put her head on my ankles as she laid perpendicular to me on the bed and the other one, Maddie, just snuggled by my side sometimes with her head on my pillow. Unbelievable.

My husband and I give each other gifts on New years (it's the day we met) and that year he gave me Maddie...officially. He said he had never seen such bonding animal to human. We all take naps together...same arrangement with Maya at my ankles and Maddie on my pillow. Thanks for indulging me...I love my dogs. Mary

Hi again, glad you appreciated the dog story. Well, Maddie is mine now since my husband handed her certificate...hmmm,is it title? well, anyway, on New Years Eve of 01 he handed this piece of paper to me and said, "Here, you need to be her owner..the way she never left your side while you were recovering was unreal."  However, when I looked at the paper, I thought...oh my...are we getting a THIRD DOG??? Don't get me wrong...two dogs are great, but I could just imagine me walking three big dogs at once..grooming three, playing with three... you get the picture. Then I realized he was giving me Maddie...Sweet.

My screen name is terribly normal. I was born in 53. Nice party!

Hi Girls - wasn't sure if I would feel up to joining tonight, but I'm so darn happy that everything turned out so well - I just had to say hi.
My screen name is kind of corny.  My last name is Sinnamon (hence Spice Girl).  I grew up with family nickname of Peppermint Patty - so I went from peppermint to Spice.   My father who is 68 still calls me peppermint. (I'm the family favourite can you tell!.
No pets here - we had a cat for 14 years that just died a few months ago - my teenage daughter wants a new one, but we just aren't home enough to look after another pet. And I hate to be selfish - but I enjoy the freedom of not having one.  Sort of like kids leaving the nest.

Hello everyone,

I just noticed the cyber party has started.  Well, my screen name is a combination of the first 3 letters of my mom and my brother's name.  I lost my father while studying in the US 7 years ago and my mom and brother were all i had left so I use this screen name for many purposes now.  Of course, I  now have a wonderful husband in my life for 4 years.  I did not do much today.  Hubby had gotten me an appt for a hair makeover so I enjoyed that.  Came back home and took a nap.  The weather has been so nice here ( I live in San Diego if I never mentioned that before), so we may take a short walk before sunset.  Life is slowly getting back to normal.  I go back to work on Monday.  I am not too worried about it, since I already did some work from home on Friday so there is not a big pile of reports to do.  Anyways, not much else to report on my day.  I guess my life right now is quite boring.  Just wanted to say hi to everyone.  I wonder how Rainbow is doing? I know she had herv surgery on Friday.

Love,

Alba

Thought I would stop in for a minute. My screen name is just a spelling variation of my middle name. I have two dogs and a cat I love my cat to pieces. He only left my side to eat and go to the litter box when I was sick. I am being "medically treated" for right side cyst but will probably will just get the little monster removed in may whem school is out. I am a special ed teacher asst.and sure enjoy these parties to wind down. The weather here is more Arizona like this week.           Erika

Congrats on the new Wrangler - isn't it fun getting a new vehicle.  I just got a new Rendezvous (wasn't quite ready to give up the van so went for a crossover) - I got the red - we always used to go black or navy - go figure.
I got it a week ago and can't wait to get back behind the wheel.  I have a bit of a heavy foot so have to be careful - my DH is an Ontario Provincial Police Officer so I really have to watch it. Spice

Hi all! My husband has always been called "fox", and I kinda liked it, so I took on the feminine name as my screen name with the day of my birth. BTW my real name is Beverley! I have 2 english springer spaniels - a mother and son. We bred puppies last year (7 gorgeous pups born 30 May) and kept one. He's the dopey, boisterous, clumsy one!!!

I've just got back from the nursing home fete where I won two bottles of wine - a Richmond Grove Cabernet Shiraz and a Chardonnay - please pass your glass and tell me your favour? I have also cut up some fresh, crisp watermelon (WE GREW IT!!!), which will go very nicely with a glass of wine! Cheers!

I am back from my first official outing since surgery - nice to get out and have dinner.  Oh speaking of hair done I did have my hair cut two days after surgery.  I thought it was a big change but no one in my house full of men noticed it.  I gave my dh plenty of grief about that tonight.   I am stuffed with pizza and wine so I will just graze the cyber munchies!
