Hi, Im new to this website an im seeking help from others who have the same issue as me.
First off, im 22 and had 2 recent surgerys to my abdomen. The 1st surgery they removed a cyst from my left ovary. Well, it came back as borderline cancer. Since many females in my family died from cancer young, I decided to go ahead and have my left ovary and fillopian tube removed. My results were sent away and two cells came back abnormal after a stage 5 biopsy too. So I take a CA 125 every 6 months. My level was an 8 which the Dr. said was great! But ever since the last surgery 7months ago, I have had some weird pain still on my left side like the ovary is still there. I feel like a pulling an strain when I use the restroom. Sometimes its so bad it radiates into my vagina to where i cannot fully stand up. I have went to the OBGYN Dr. and she keeps telling me its because of my periods an it should go away after ive been on birthcontrol for a while. She tells me this over an over an over. Its to the point where i feel so helpless. I am very scared because I feel something is still wrong, but they cannot seem to find a problem. Does anyone else have this problem?? Any information will help. Does anyone have really painful periods after their surgery the way I do? Like my back hurts into my thighs an it feels like my butt is going to fall out!! I work as a nursing assistant in a nursing home an I need some kind of relief if im going to be helping others especially when im on my feet from 7p-7a three days a week. Like I said, any helpful tips on what to do will be helpful. Plus my oncologist is no longer with the facility. He was an awesome Dr. but since he left I now have to go to the OBGYN Dr. which she is sweet, but new to the Dr. world. Please anyone who can help or relate, i would be so happy, cause honestly...im really scared.
Thanks
Lindsey
