Could this be?

My symptoms:  abdominal tenderness about 1-2" below belly button to pubic area, (tender to touch or tight clothes), bloating, painful gas, frequent urination, painful during sex at times,  I've had two laproscopies 1 for ovarian cysts, fallopian tube was blocked and wrapped around my bowel, the other one for exploratory, I was trying to get pregnant.  I had a lot of scar tissue from those surgeries.  I attributed the painful sex and tender stomach to scar tissue.

I had a partial hysterectomy almost 4 years ago, about three weeks ago I spotted for one day, *I have no uterus nor a cervix.  I went to the doctor and all my blood work and a physical, had been feeling exhausted and she put me on a z-pak,  I finished my z-pak and in the mean time I discovered she did paps in her office- I scheduled with her because my gyn is booked out so far.  I told her of my symptoms that I listed in the first paragraph and she did a pap, she said she didn't smell anything abnormal nor did it appear abnormal.

I got my results today, they want me to see my gyn for another smear, I have a-typical cells.  If I put all of these symptoms together- with abnormal results, it sounds like OC to me.  I had a great aunt die of OC. I am scared.  Would love your input.  Would OC be detectable with a pap? After a partial hysterectomy don't they just smear the top of the vagina?

thank you for your comments and thoughts and prayers.
I just had to help a co-worker thru her loss.  Her sister was 33 when she died of OC.  She had just adopted two children from Russia, before she was diagnosed.  What a horrible disease, such a shame it is usually to late, once you are diagnosed.  We can go to the moon, create energy, and lots of wonderful inventions, but we can not improve the taste of cough syrup and cant cure diseases....????, makes no sense to me.

Have a great week-end.  I will go fishing with my kidos, 8 & 4, the lights of my life.

Thanks

I think u are heading the right direction to find the cause of your symptoms.  U are young(born1969 am i right?), so the chance u have OC is very very low. Cysts can also cause all the symptoms you are having. But it will be very helpful if u can ask for a tranvaginal ultrasound next time to see whether there is anything wrong with your ovary and uterus, be very demanding and mention your aunt oc history.  PEP is for cervical cancer not for OVCA.
I was confused about  "I don't have uterus or cervix" statment. Please be very sure about this and check with your dr. get all the information in printing and keeping in handing for yourself. Best wish

Peace

I could say don't worry too much, but I know if you are like me you will continue to worry until you get complete answers. Follow up with your gyn. Ask for a CA125. I don't know your age. OC is not detected in a pap unless there has been metastisis to the uterus and cevix. Many years ago I had a pap come back atypical and was told sometimes that is due to lab contamination. We repeated it and I never had another abnormal one. It could just be a false alarm. I hope you get your answers soon and that you are just fine. Marie
