Hi am so happy it is Saturday afternoon. Just sitting around enjoying the peace and quiet but always have time to stop in and say hi. Hope all is well with each and every one of you. Erika
Hey ladies!!!watchin the Derby!!! Mary, pour me a margarita. Thanks hon. After the derby, Anthony (my son) and I are going out to dinner. DH & Rose are at a Softball Tournament in WV. Anthony had baseball here, so we are a divided family. But I will be back to the party :-)

Hey Mary you have to post a prom pic for us to admire. That is so exciting and glad she is handling the late date so well. I am heading out for a run but will try to drop in later and hear how everyone is doing!
It's Prom season! My son had his Junior Prom last night. Lovely weather and everyone looked so handsome/beautiful. He had a great time.
I am so happy mine are young my oldest is 14 and all I hear is how he is weight training for football next year. So I have a couple years to go before prom. I am not ready for that yet and doubt I will be when that time comes.
I know how you feel. My Rosie will be 13 this month, so I have some time. I think my dh will dig a moat around the house before all that begins - lol

Ok ladies - the Derby is over and Anthony & I are heading out to dinner. I'll drop back in later - Mary, please save me a margarita or 2 (3....)

Have a good dinner and a fine time with your son. I am checking in between loads of laundry. I got two kitties yesterday after work. I got them from a lady that rescues feral cats. The first one is an adult and has 7 toes on his front paws and 6 on his back. I call him Mr. Toes. The other one is a kitten. I think I will let the kids name that one. They are both so sweet. They will be alot of company since they are quiet and dont argue with me like my teenage and preteen children are taking to doing.
Hey Ladies,
I am back and the kids are off to dinner then the Prom! The Grand March was splendid and all the kids looked great! I will definitly post a pic on the MSN site, or as I think of it, the Lighter side of the Battalion!
I have two neurotic cats, Bear and Cougar, they are indoor cats and I have trained them they can go out on the veranda if they don't set foot off the cement, if they do, recess is over. They actually obey, so uncatlike! Told you they were neurotic!
I spent the day on my gardens! I promised myself that I would do that as soon as I got home from the Zone and the weather cooperated! A simply glorius spring day here in Minnesota! Warm but with a nice breeze and, best of all, no mosquitos yet! Still too early to put in the annuals yet, there will be a few cold nights yet, but can put in things like hosta and some of the edge annuals. I will definitly enjoy a soak in the hot tub later in the Party, let me check, 102 degrees, perfect! MV
No doubt! I didn't realize those socorro cactus got so big? Not certain I got that name right but the one out back of my Buddies place had to be 30 feet tall! Different landscape by far! He bought a house in a development in Peoria with an Association, Geeze! He had to get approval to replace his screen door! Had to approve the color! Yikes!!! Way too Stepford for me! The leaves are just coming out and my new black Wrangler is covered with yellow oak pollen! MV
AAAAAAAACHOOOOO - ug, just the mention of oak pollen gets me!

Just running throught the party to say Hi! I am not a late night person anymore so bed time is fast approaching. What can I say. Middle age has it's advantages and disadvantages. Nite all.
OK ladies, it is an early night for me. Anthony has 2 games tomorrow and we have to be at the field early in the am. So I say good night and party on. I'll drop by in the morning with coffee and danish! You gals rock!!!
~Tascha
See you two in the AM! Tascha throws a great brunch! The Gals from OZ should drop in soon! They usually take over the Party once all those of us in the states and Canada Konk out! MV
Hi Cysters! Pass a margarita and make room in the hot tub, please! I'm so excited. We are leaving in the morning for a much needed vacation. We are going to see family in Illinois. My doctor said have a good time, the trip will do you good. I will be back in time for my next chemo.
That sounds great! Where are you now? Good roadtrip? I love a good rooadtrip! Here's you margarita! Cheers! MV
Thanks for the margarita! I'm in Texas, so it is a 900 mile trip. We have made it many times. I'm taking my little poodle, EllyMae. She has over 100,000 miles under her belt!
Prom...woohoo! True sign of the joys of youth...sigh...
It's been a beautiful Saturday here in southeastern CT. I'm getting antsy, that's for sure. I'm envious thinking of Mary's gardening. I suppose I can either choose to see weeding etc or potential. Depending on the time of day, I can do either. Is that menopausal mood swing? Uhoh!
It just doesn't matter Dove, here have a virtual margarita and hop in the hot tub!! Wooo Hooo!
Where in CT do you live? I am originally from the Norwalk/Westport area and am heading back that way in 2 weeks for my high school reunion! Glad to hear vthe weather is good there.
Hey gals, I'm back. Mary dear, I sure would love a margarita. Dinner with Anthony was such fun. It really was nice just the two of us. He is a charmer, that one! Speaking of prom, there were several couples at the restaurant-so cute, boy how I remember those days, although I don't know if I am ready for my own kids to go!

Coming right up! In the rocks? Hot tub feels great, come on in! MV
Look out! Here I come "splash" oohh this feels so good!!! Thanks for the drink Mary. How did the planting go? It is so warm here that I have already planted most of my annuals! Even got a bit of sunburn out on the ball field today!
~Tascha
Mary you are lucky to be back in Minnesoda it is just a wee bit too hot here. I wish I could do some gardening but I dont think anything will grow exept cactus and there is enough of that here. I cant wait til school is out for the summer. I am about tired of dealing with teenagers day in and day out. They are really nice kids but it will be good to get away from it for awhile.
