Cyst 1st seen in Feb. Ct scan, now its Nov. ,hemmoragic and 4.4 cm, what to do?

Hello, I need help deciding what to do. I had no insurance but required emergency appendectomy in Feb. 2003, the ct. scan for appendicitis showed bilateral ovarian cysts. Sadly with no insurance for ob/gyn i was unable to get cysts looked at in local clinics so upon obtaining med insurance in Nov 2003, i had a pelvic and trans sonogram which shows just one 4.4 cm hemorragic cyst which my GYN thinks i should "let it be " untill "after the holidays " or 6-8 weeks....his words... I don't know what to think, i insisted on a ca-125 test (results due in a week) ...if this is the same cyst from the ct scan in February, isn't that a bad thing? I am 25, which my doc said was 'too young' for ovarian cancer...i want to fire him and find a new one, since i can barely understand his english anyway. I want to know what to ask of a new doctor.I am in some pain and have no idea where to go from here. My doctor even insisted I smoke, which i don't , that my supposed smoking would "just make the numbers too high on the ca-125. "
HELP!
thanks

Angela,
Your Dr. Sounds like a quack. I am 28 and was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. You are never too young. Don't let this jerk mess around with your health. Fire him!
Good luck

Well I dont know much about the hemorragic cysts either, but just told by dr that I have several. Im  kinda in the same situation as far as health insurance. I go to a midwife at the local clinic. When I first walked in about 3 months ago I had severe pain for about 8 months, and they did an internal sonogram. They told me I had PCOS and several cysts on each ovary. They told me thats the cause of the pain and not being pregnant yet (2 years trying). So I was put on Yasmin to shrink them. Well I did 3 weeks of the Yasmin and went of because of the mood swings. I felt fine until yesterday. I had a real bad pain episode followed by nausea and leg numbness. I went right into dr and they did another internal sonogram and told me that I had hemorragic cysts and that they were bleeding. They also found a large amount of fluid behind my uteris. So I was reschelded to come back next month and talk to the dr that can perform the surgey. Does anyone know if this is the only fix beside bc pills? Im scared to death and just want to have a child with my new husband.

Im so confused and need help badly.  Im losing my mind.  I am 28 years old and about 5 months ago a cyst was found on my right ovary.  The Dr told me it was an egg that had taken basically a home on my ovary and that we would try with Provera for 2 months to see if it pops.  2 months went by and it's still there, it started at 5 cm and went down to a 4.4 more or less.  Basically it didn't shrink much.  I scheduled surgery for Nov 3, The day before surger they did blood test and vitals the following day I was ready for surgery and I had a slight fever of 100.4 and my platelets were high, my Dr wasn't very clear with me and first told me I would have a laproscopic cystectomy done and a possible laparatomy.  After another sonogram he said it's possible that i will have to take out your entire ovary.  I panicked! although I know I can have children with one, I'd rather not take it out if it doesn't need to be.  They didn't do the surgery due to my platelet count and 100.4 temperature.  I went to a second opinion and he did a checkup and thought he felt a simple cyst but needed to see a sono which will be done on Dec 3.  Today I called the 1st Gyn I went to and asked exactly what he saw a simple cyst or a complex cyst he said it's a simple cyst about 3 or 4 times and than said but it's a little complex.  What is that suppossed to mean?  Im so confused and very scared!  Especially since now my blood platelets are high and wbc are low, what could that mean.  I do have anemia but I do not know if this is why my platelets and wbc are not normal. My blood pressure has been going up and down today it was 139/90.  My body has been feeling a bit achy, like if i've worked out hard in the gym and am feeling the next days aftermath.  I do not have any pains.  I am about 80-90 lbs overweight and although I know weight plays a large factor in my health the dr told me that my problems are not due to my weight.  I've never had any problems until just recently.  I just got married and I want to have a child badly and Im so scared that I may have a deadly disease that will prevent me from having children or worse dying at a young age.  I've read so many things on the internet as far as ovarian cancer, leukemia, and a million other things.  Has anyone had a similar case or can anyone give me some type of answers.  It's been about 5 months and not knowing whats wrong with me or some idea of whats going on is killing me!  I can't sleep at times because im afraid that i might die in my sleep.  Please help!
