Diet plans after surgery?

nwk
Hi, I read a book on Yeast Infection connection to problems like ovarian cyst, endometriosis and etc and the experts in the book stated that one should avoid all processed sugar, bread/starchy foods, and even some fruits like watermelon and cataloupe. Anyone heard of this?

I love bread and it is very difficult to avoid eating starchy foods....

In general white refined flours and sugars are not as good for healing as whole grains, fresh fruits and veges--well you know the drill.  The yeast diet is specific for people who are allergic and have an overgrowth in their entire systems--I'm not sure it's a good one for post surgical recovery as it's so restrictive and post surgery is simply not a time to go on a radical diet.

Actually the diet of avoiding starchy food and sugar is not really related to post surgery recovery but as a general life style changes for people with Cyst and Endo problems... as recommended by the book.

Personally, I've never heard of observing any particular diet once you're home from the hospital and reovering well. On the contrary, after months and months of bloating, indigestion, and misery, I was RAVENOUS for all the food I love, and let me tell you that I'm enjoying them now! Yeast? That's what makes pizza dough rise, m'dear!
