It ***** that all of the symptoms for oc are really non-specific. I had been feeling dead tired for 2 years (I mean dead tired; my hair was falling out; I was depressed; I was bloated) when I found a 9 x 8 x 5 cyst with a 4 cm solid area on an ultrasound that looked identical to an ovarian carcinoma. I was sure I had it, despite the very large odds that I didn't. It was benign.
I had laproscopy today and am home resting; it was pretty easy, or relatively easy. You could see a gyn/onc to get more info. The weight loss seems like something you'd want to investigate; if you just get the cyst out you might be missing something regarding that. It seems okay to me to wait for another ultrasound and see what's going on with it first.
Your normal ca-125 is good, although it's not a diagnosis. It's hard to know what to do with non-specific symptoms. And as Alex said, the doctors are not ignoring you, which is great; my doctors totally ignored me. if you trust them, they will likely be helpful to you although it may take a while.
You know your body. At least the doctors are not ignoring you. Keep pushing until you get an answer. I pushed for three years. The Ca125 being low is good. That is one test they did not do on me. I threw up for two years and had diaphragm spasms but the doctors blammed it on my MS.
