Chemo 3 times weekly

My 23 year-old daughter's doctor is recommending chemo 3 times weekly for 4 months for stage 1A ovarian cancer.  Tumor has been removed.  One ovary will be removed after chemo.  My daughter believes with this regimen of a light dose of chemo more frequently, she will not lose her hair.  Is this possible?

Hi There,
To fully answer your question, it is improtant to know what the pathology report is for Tracy. There are certain ovarian cancers that require intensive chemotherapy for cure. If Tracy has a germ cell tumor, it is essential for her to receive this chemo.
Please share with us more details about her condition
best wishes and thank you

It is not the frequency of the chemo that determines hair loss, it is the cocktail itself.  What drug or drugs is she on?  She is very fortunate to have caught this dreadful thing at 1A as there are so many more options.  I am sorry she has to deal with this at such a young age though.  Did her Dr not give her a pamphlet or paper about the side effects of the drugs she's on?   Let me know what drugs he is giving her and I can direct you to websites that will have that info.  Good Luck
