Gingko Biloba

While waiting for the GI doc today I started to read an article in an issue of "Oprah" talking about a study done by Brighams and Womens in Boston on gingko biloba and it's results on ovarian cancer cells....didn't get to read the whole thing...wondering if anyone else has seen the article? (one thing that I DID read was "don't take anything without your doc's approval"...)

And to Hudson, you may beat me to the colonoscopy, but I'll be following closely behind you, have a follow up in July with this GI guy who is the one who would do it apparently. ...I actually even thought about today trying to squeeze it in next week...then I came to my senses!

It's gingko alright...I just heard the same thing. I think it has something to do with gingko cutting off the blood supply to the tumors.

I took this article to my Oncologist and he said he cannot say if it does good or bad... then he said that there have been problems with blood linked to Gingo, I had been taking it for a while. I go to my Chemo session a few days later and some reason my port won't draw blood for the first time in nearly three years so of course I freak out in my mind about it and mow stopped taking it!! Pretty Funny huh!!!!!

OH My Gosh! I hope everything is okay and your port just needs a flush? (do they do that anymore? - my mom had one for beast cancer chemo but that was in the 80's)....

At least I'm glad you knew what I was referring to, sometimes I feel so utterly brainless that I can't even count on myself anymore for correct info!

hmmm, I am not sure...but I know it was the April issue of "O", Oprahs' magazine so I'm going to try to get a copy of it to read at home.
