Doxil chemo

I have just completed my 20th monthly Doxil chemo treatment.  Has anyone had this many treatments?

Yes, although Doxil was pretty hard on me, it worked! I've been in remission for the first time since diagnosis. I am in my 5th month of remission.

I just had my first Doxil treatment yesterday. The verdict is still out but have felt well today. Sure hope this is the one that works especially if I tolerate it well.

Thank you for answering my question on the number of Doxil treatments.  20 seems to be a lot, and that is why I posted the question.  I originally had debulking surgery in Sep '07, then 6 treatments of Taxol/Carboplatin.  The docs decided to treat the residual cancers with Doxil.  I tolerate it quite well and have not experienced the tiredness of which you speak.  It does affect my white count and I have developed hand/foot syndrome, but all in all I think it is a good drug.  I am on a 25% reduced dose and expect I will remain on this drug for some time.  Did it help you?

My original Dr. at MD Anderson had a patient on Doxil for 4 years so far. She said she traveled around the world on business while on Doxil. It did not work for me, but did for Teresa, I believe.

I've not heard of anyone having that many. Goodness, you must really be tired by now. I had six and they really zapped me of energy for a long time.  Can you tell us more about your ovarian cancer? What other chemo treatments have you had and when?
