Having Symptoms

ckr
Dear Dr. Goodman, I have the symptoms for OVCA.  Physical exam, blood work and a transvaginal ultra sound is scheduled for Monday, tomorrow.

Although my GYN/ONC said that my ovaries were small during the exam, is there an ovarian cancer that does not present with masses?

How definitive will the ultrasound be.  Should I insist on a CAT scan.  Can a needs aspiration of cells be done or, is that hit-or-miss as far as harvesting cells for examination?

You are absolutely right.  Having been the recepient of some bad medicine before.  I am always trying to get one step ahead and the result is stress.  The results are even in yet!

Good advice.  I'll take it.

Hi There,
I am so sorry for your stress. You are having the right tests tomorrow. If there are any abnormalities, commonly a laparoscopy is scheduled to look. A Ct scan is helpful for evaluating problems in the upper abdomen, the bowel, and the lymph nodes. why don't you wait and see how these tests come out?
best wishes and hang in there!
