How about some good news.

As some of you who know me I was diagnosed last April 07 with stage IV during an exploratory surgery.. They only took biopsies and then I went through 6 rounds of carbo/taxol and then in September has major debulking surgery.. Except for all the blood transfusions I have remained what my doctors call dormant... my ca 125 dropped from 380 to 6.0. In February my ca 125 started climbing again not a lot but  to 9.8 which is over a 50% jump and then the  trans vaginal ultrasound found it... a small lesion on the cupola... well my oncologist decided to try  suppositories that can sometimes cut off the blood supply on a tiny lesion... and I am happy to report that yesterday my ca125 is back down to 8.1 and the best news... todays TVU shows only scar tissue... no sign of the lesion..and not blood supply. Yipee and I bought a bottle of champagne... My radiologist specialty is oncology and for 40 minutes he took the last TVU and this one and still came up with nothing... This repreive into my oncologist calls dormancy comes at the right moment as I live on my trip to Spain and Italy on April 28.  So I thought we could all stand some good news.... Ronni

That's terrific news, and to be able to go on your trip without a worry is fantastic. My mother was diagnosed stage 1V in May 05 and her ca125 is also at 8.0, so here's to kicking this beast.

To all of you who thought so much to share with my happy news I am tipping my champagne glass to you all.  We all fight so hard for a little good news sometimes.  My heart breaks for anyone and all still going throught chemo. and or surgery. although my reprieve is here now trust me when I say I remember how it feels and it haunts me everyday.
