How long until you were able to exercise after laparoscopic?

I am a fitness instructor - high impact aerobics - and I'm curious how long it was until you were able to exercise?   I will be having laparoscopy to remove a dermoid.  I'm realizing I will need to plan to get my classes covered during my recovery time.
thanks in advance!

For what it's worth, I'm a reasonably fit 47 year-old who had a laparoscopy 4 days ago for severe endometriosis.  And I agree to ask your doctor, but I find I usually got the standard "everyone is different" response, so I can just share my experience.  As soon as I could, I made sure to move around a lot in my home and have walked laps around my kitchen island while on the phone.  I gained 8 lbs. after the procedure, and only this a.m. did I notice that start to reduce.  But best news, I went for a walk outside for the first time this a.m. (less than a mile), with the only real side-effect (so far) of increased shoulder pain, probably from moving the gas around a bit as well as it being windy/cold.  Hope this helps you plan and good luck with your procedure.
