I am back
Thank you for checking on me. I hated to be away from the forum for so long. I thought of you all daily and missed you very much. I was not sick, my computer was. I now have a new one. I am feeling fine right now and will start getting caught up on all that I have missed. I am looking forward to meeting as many of you as possible this summer. I knew that the forum was important to me, but being away so long let me really see just how much I depend on the love and support I get here. You are all a huge part of my life. Marie

I have been watching the flood on the news. I am so sorry so many have had to endure such a mess. I pray relief comes soon and the clean up goes much better than after Katrina. Weather this season has been wild. I hope the worst is over for all. Love Marie
Welcome back, Marie. I, too, have Vista and while it is OK by itself, I can't bring work home because the work computer and home computer don't communicate well. I'll take Jan's advice and check on the updates. Hope you are doing well.

I'm sooo happy you have gotten yourself a new reliable computer!!!! I received your PM and will write you back, soon. I JUST (about 2 hours ago) from my stepson'f wedding in Texas. Actually, I didn't make the wedding....I was sick with a virus, and didn't want to get them sick before their honeymoon in Mexico. It was quite a bummer.
Speaking of your hair growing back.....a friend of mine, in remission from breast cancer, is feeling a huge difference in the texture of her hair, also. The BIG thing is, is that it is COMING BACK. I'll bet you look beautiful!!!! Anyway...missed ya and I'm thrilled you're back on line.
Side note for Simply Star....Sorry your life has been so difficult, lately, because of the flooding. The pictures on the news are horrific. Hang in there.

Hi, How did you get your stimulus check ?? Was it direct deposit?? You're the first one I've known "personally" to receive it !!! Good for you !!! And while you were away, the TV did not improve... There is nothing on !!! Oh.. 2 1/2 men in a minute and CSI Miami I hope..

Welcome home marie I also have been missing for a while, due to the floods here, got a break today and came home early. It will be at least another 2 weeks before all the shelters are closed, people are getting really nasty about wanting to go home. Home to what? We have over a thousand homes that are affected and over 800 of those are low income people , large families and NO place to go. I saw so much despair today that it has started to affect me.

Oh, you caught me!! Yes, I confess, I have been doing some major hair growing. It feels so strange I cannot keep my hands out of it. It feels more like animal hair than human. Is this normal? My computer really was broken. I wanted to wait to get a new one when my George Bush stimulus check came on the 27th of this month, but I missed everyone too much. I went to Best Buy and signed up for credit.

Hi Marie, sure am glad you got a new puter. Do you have Vista? I hated it when I first started using it and it did have a lot of bugs but they have come up with a bunch of new service packs to update with. Don't forget to have your computer set for automatic updates for everything. It changes stuff every 5 minutes it seems. Good luck learning it. There is a tutorial that gives you the highlights of the differences. Have fun!!!!

computer is new, but I have to learn a few things. It is different to use than windows xp. I have not gotten all of it figured out. I wanted a Mac, but was afraid I'd have trouble learning something different. I wish now I would have trid it! Marie
