Sorry, Im am new here. I posted earlier this week about finding a large complex mass on my right ovary. They found it on an ultrasound, they were chekcing me for fibroid tumors, instead, they found this mass. I went in last week to give a blood sample for the CA 125 teast. They called me today The gyno)and the word they used was 'negative'. I took that to mane negative for cancer in my blood. I still have to go in and have the mass removed. Still waiting on approval from the insurance.
I am 42 years old, mom had breast cancer, aunt had ovarian, grandfather had colon, g-grandfather had stomach cancer.
Yes, we need more info to answer you. CA125s don't have just a negative or positive result. Numbers that are normal for one might signify a recurrence for another. How old are you? How was the mass found? What is your doctor saying? Good luck. Marie
What do you men by negative? How old are you? Whether is has spread or not has nothing to do with the number. How did you find out about the mass? You just didn't give enough info to even guess?
