Is it possible?

I had a vaginal hysterectomy 7 months ago but still have both of my tubes and ovaries,i stayed in alot of pain and the hysterectomy did not help my pain at all.The pathology report only says that i had severe cervicitis ,but my pain continues, it is mainly on my lower right side, the pain is every day and i mean every day!I have went to a diffrent gyn and told them of my pain and asked for a ultrasound and they refuse to give me one because he said he didnt feel nothing on my ovaries. My question is that is it possible that i could have endometriosis on my right ovary even though i didnt have endo. on my uterus and cervix? I was giving a abdaminal and vaginal ultrasound one month before the hysterectomy and they said they didnt see anything on my right side.I hope i have not confused anyone.
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

my ovarian cysts were not detected in a pelvic exam, and not on a regular ultrasound....only on a trans vaginal ultrasound.....

Exactly - get a transvaginal ultrasound.  That will show what is going on in there.  If your dr. refuses, then seek a 2nd opinion!

hey need to know, do you still have your appendix? lower right side pain could cause that too. here's a silly question for ya, can you hop on your right foot? if you can, then appendix is fine, but if not, then i would get that checked out. i hope you feel better soon. take care

I would see another doctor and get a transvaginal us.  I can't believe that he said no????  Does anything seem to help the pain.  What was wrong with your uterus and cervix that they had to take them both?  Especially since you are still hurting.  I'd also talk to an attorney for malpractice/misdiagnosis.  You just don't go in and take out stuff and leave a patient in unresolved pain.

I don't know about the endometriosis, but cysts can be missed during an exam.  It seems unbelievable but my doctor missed my cyst which was the size of an orange, when he examined me.  It was found by ct scan.  Hope you get some answers.
