My symptoms started in March of this year and I was diagnosed with stage IV in April.. I had extreme constipation frequent urination and a dull pain on the left sife of my lower abdomen. After 2 weeks of test... colonoscopy, upper gi lower gi xrays finally they did a CT scan and found some type of inflammatory process they thought might be appendix.. they did exploratory surgery a lovely 6 inch incision and when they saw what was there they took several biopsies and closed me back up. The general surgeion was smart enough to know it was not something he wanted to handle.. I then found out I had stage IV and went thru 6 rounds of chemo and then had my major debulking surgery in Sept... I feel good for today... Sometimes they do surgery first and then chemo or vice versa... I had absoolutely no none nunca symptoms before March. I am 5 feet 4 inches and weigh 118 pounds then and still do... I lost and gained 20 lbs with chemo... I am also a type 1 diabetic since I was 14 years old.... Bottom line I am feeling good today... I don't believe that all women all of a sudden get symptoms but I did.... Ronni
At this point all I know is that I have a good sized cyst that needs to be removed. When asked how I was feeling, I said fine. But again, looking back, I had some bloating and achy feeling on the left side. I assumed it was bathroom related so I took more fiber into my diet. The bloating I assumed went with my funny heart since my feet, ankle and hands get puffy too. Even right now, I'm trying to get comfortable because I feel pressure down low on the left - imagine carrying a ball in your pocket and you can feel it press into your body when you sit down. This has been going on for the past year and I figured it was old age and potty problems. Surprise!
