Helen---WOW, yes that is so GREAT that it went down to 44 in one cycle with your wonder chemo combination. I know you had high numbers!

Sorry to hear about your infected hand. I hope that clears up.  I have a port put in. I did it two years after I was diagnosed. You wouldn't believe how much easier it is. I call it my pin cushion. I highly recommend it.

It's good to hear from you Jatoo, and sorry to hear of Melody's infection (I've had an infected hand from the IV)...but a CA.125 of 44 is GREAT....after one cycle. Terrific news.

Helen... I've moved on from the Topotecan...taking Taxotere/Carbo again...just had the first treatment a couple of weeks ago. Been on antibiotics for an infected hand, but it's o.k. now. Hope you are doing well.

Helmar--I miss Jatoo's postings also. Hope you are doing well on topotecan.

Jatoo--sorry to hear about Melody with an infection. The new combination is working well, thank God. I was going to go on that but had a drug resistant test and those drugs showed a smaller activity level than cytoxan that I am on.

Prayer is powerful.  I am going to post a date that asks that everyone that has the misfortune to be dealing with ovarian cancer to pray on December. 12th.

Dear Helen:

Thanks for your concern. Hopefully she will be back on chemo again this week after suffering an infection. She was on Oxaliplatin/5FU that brought down her CA 125 to 44 and slightly shrunk her tumors after only one cycle. Our friends have been praying for her. I think this is where her strength lies.

Our doctor related a clinical trial, must have been at UCLA, composed of two(2) groups: one with a support group that were praying for them and another one without. Well, I suppose you already know the outcome. The doctor asked his colleague: how can medical science explains this?

I pray that all is well for you Helen. Keep up the good fight!
