Latest on Kimmie

Hi!  Well, I've got to post this now.  I hope plans don't change between now and Monday.  I won't be able to post if so.  

Rose said that Kimmie will be able to GO HOME on Monday!  That's a day after her birthday!  What an awesome present, eh?  They're removed her feeding tube and she's "test driving" food (liquid or soft I imagine).  If she can keep it down then she'll be able to go.  

Her memory has improved a bit.  Still forgetful and they're not sure why.  Maybe the previous injury, pain meds or adema.  She isn't having seizures anymore.

I praise God for her progress!

Thank you for the good news. I was thinking of them last night, wondering how things were going and hoping someone would post soon. Will they have some support at home? I sure hope so. Rose seems to be holding it together pretty well. But we all need help during the tough times.

Great news. Sometimes a seizure can cause temporary amnesia.. hopefully she will be backon her feet soon... thanks for the update...Ronni

That is good news. I did not know she was even close to being discharged. That is wonderful. Thank God for this. I pray she continues to improve. I hope Rose is remembering to take good care of herself, too. She is probably focusing everything on her mom. I remember when my mom was sick I was not able to eat. Thanks for the up-date.
