a biopsy is just a small snip of tissue, if the snip is not actually from a lesion on the liver, yes, it could be missed. Waiting 6 months for an answer from the doctors though is unforgivable. I too am sorry for your loss, your wife would not want you to give up living though. come here and help us answer questions for the many that seek answers like you have. Marty
Hello there. I also don't have an answer to your question. I just wanted to send my sympathies your way. Did you try the doctor question and answer forum? Best of luck on your qwest for answers, Deandra
I take it you have no answers?
I just read your profile, I am sorry about the loss of your wife to this nasty cancer. My observations over time, have shown that if we don't know the answers, the posts go unanswered.
What I do know or have learned about ovarian cancer is that it is cruel. My 2nd recurrence probably began as soon as the chemotherapy for the 2nd ended, and some of the areas grew quickly, I did not make it to a 3 month scan before the new recurrence was diagnosed. I wish you luck on your quest for answers, could the biopsies have been negative, yes, because they could have been cysts. Chemo and the cancer is not nice to bodies.
My thoughts are with you. All my best. Marie
We waited nearly six months for an answer to my question from our oncology team before treatment was advised
