Lots of prayers needed please
This has nothing to do with this site, but I know that you women are such prayer worriors,and prayers are needed. My ex-sister-in-law, who is only 13 (years different between her and my ex-husband) was badly burned tonight while cooking. She was using a frydaddy, and some how it spilled all over her. She has first and second degree burns over the top left portion of her body. Her worst burns are on the left breast and left hand. As of 10 minutes ago, she is still under antasetic from being scrubbed down and wrapped. They believe that she will go home tonight (not sure since she was still under) drugged up for the pain. She is going to see a plastic surgon tomorrow. Thank God that she had the good sense to take her clothes off so they would not melt on her skin (her mom and dad were in the barn taking care of the horses). She called her parents in the barn,and when they got to the house, they fornd her sitting at the table praying and crying. In the ambulance between crying she asked her mom to read her some Bible verses. I think that is pretty amazing for a 13 year old. Please pray that infection does not set in and that she will have a quick recovery (she was supposed to be in a musical at school this weekend). From what we have heard, the pain could be unbearable. I will be praying for her and hope that she will get through this time speedily with this horrible experience she has had to go through. She is young and very strong and will get better very very soon. Stay positive as you can see she is. Much love and peace. Shen x
Thank you all for the positive thoughts. She is a remarkable girl. It will be hard for me to tell my son tomorrow (he is on a 5th grade camping trip), since he is close with his Aunt. Lena, I live in Indiana, but my ex-husband and his family live in Illinois. I will let you all know when I find out more. Once again, thanks for the prayers. Kasie
Oh my gosh how terrible. Thank goodness she had the foresight to do everything the way she did. I have a 12 and 14 year old and I honestly do not think either one of them would think to remove their clothing. Your sister in law as well as her parents and the rest of her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

I really hope your sister-in-law will be okay. She sounds like a remarkable girl. Please let her know that our thoughts and prayers are with her for a speedy recovery. Her faith seems very strong and her faith will help her through the rough times ahead. I know this will be a difficult time for your whole family and I will be praying for all of you. Please keep me posted on how she is doing. I don't know how far away from me you are, but if there is anything I can do, let me know. Lena
