Lower Abdominal Question

Have finished 3 rounds of chemo, waiting to see if surgery is next( had CAT yesterday). Last chemo 2 weeks ago. Have noticed over the past 3-4 days, discomfort in lower abd, seems to be where ovaries are, and over belly button area at times. Tender to touch, not excruciating though. It is annoying. Not related to urinary output ,not constipation, nor diahrrea. Do not appear to  be bloated. It sometimes comes on in a wave like manner. I am not to the point of needing Vicodin  regularly, will take one when I go out this afternonn to take the edge off. I plan to call Doc Monday, not this weekend as it does not warrant an ER visit.  Could it be anxiety? Thoughts anyone??

I think all of us experienced fleeting pains, which actually occur up to a year or so after surgery.  Ask your doctor if they could be *adhesions*, which I believe are bits of scar tissue which twist and hurt from time to time.  Mine almost felt like menstrual cramps sometimes.
Best wishes to you!

Every time you have discomfort think "cancer cells are dying".  Of course speak with your doctor but I also had chemo before surgery and had odd pains there too... My oncologist told me you have cancer... you are not done with treatment... yes you will have discomfort....Its not in your head... Also after my second treatment I got shingles... both on my head and across my stomach... there was pain before the break out... shingles seems to be common with  chemo... Hugs Ronni
