MDs working with BRACA people

Mom died at 56, my sister lynne (50) and myself (52) are getting taxol for 3C ovarian,. I think we need to try something that pertains to BRACA , a treatment that takes this reason for OUR cancer into consideration. WE live in the bowels of Alaska, its a hundred mile round trip just to see my regular onc. Please, if anyone can connect us with someone doing clinical trials around genetic reasons email us. ***@**** , thank you, colleen

Here is the link for the BRCA test.  Most oncologists can draw it .. but not all insurance covers it.  It is just to determine the genetic link for your dtrs., nieces, etc.

Here is the link for clinical trials:

You have such a very sad story.  I just had the BRCA test done for my dtrs., etc.  My Mom was healthy, my Dad had prostate cancer (don't know it that could be a link).  I am waiting for my results.

Good luck to you and your family.  May God bless you.

Colleen:

I'm so sorry you and your sister are going through all of this.  Have you been tested for BRACA?  I don't know of any trials but do know that if you go to clinicaltrials dot gov they have listed ALL of the trials going on in the States.

I wish you all the best and let us know if you find anything.
