Mamarabbit Are You Still There?

Hi Mamarabbit.  Sorry for the delay, I saw your post below but have been pretty sick, but... now on my way back to recovery.  I found a few things out re: my hotflashes coming back, but first let me tell you what I was taking that got completely rid of the hot flashes for nearly three months.  I am starting the series over again.  I was disappointed when they returned, but I think I have a grasp on why they returned, so even though I would have taken them again anyway, I am almost excited to start again to test out what I learned.  I don't know about cold flashes, but I get cold really easily also as I am really thin - no insulation.  I was taking (tinctures) of **** Quai, Chaste Tree, Licorice root and Wild Yam.  One thing that helped me besides taking these herbs was kidney, gall bladder, liver and colon cleanse.  While I was home on sick leave I also swollowed at least three cloves of garlic and drops from tinctures of Cheyenne every day to cleanse my blood.

I also took tincture drops of a mixture of:  ****-quai, Angelica polymorpha sinensis root, Chaste Tree, Vitex agnus-castus berry, Wild Yam, Dioscorea villosa root, Valerian root, Valeriana officinalis, Lobelia pod and seed, Lobelia inflata, Passion flower, Passiflora incarnata, Hops flower, Humulus lupulus, Uva Ursi leaf, Arctostaphylos uva ursi, Juniper berries, Juniperus communis and Corn Silk, Zea mays.

I bought those from a very strong willed well known herbal "doctor".  He is know as the herbdoc on the internet... without giving websites, I am sure you can figure the site address out from there.

The purpose of the cleanses was because I was sick for so long, I was feeling so sluggish and couldn't get it together.  When I read about the build up of toxins in our bodies from the drugs we take when we are sick and even from some of our processed foods, etc., I had to give it a try.  Not only do the cleanses remove a lot of the toxins left behind, but when your colon is clean, it can absorb the herbs better for a better effect.  Made sense to me, so I went full force ahead and cram packed them in after the colon cleanse and it worked.  While I was on sick leave, I used every bit of my energy which was little at first, to research the herbs and make my own tinctures.  I am an overly skeptical person when someone tries to sell me something, so that is why I made my own whenever I could find the herbs because the products are so expensive to buy and I wanted to compare to what I did buy.  I made them like the herbdoc, I made them as potent as he said his were, but I did single herb tinctures so I could try to find what worked for me best.  (I found, even though buying them is expensive, it is cheaper to buy them than make them, if they are really packing it in the vats)

Now... what I learned about why the hot flashes and sweating came back.  I had been having pains in my abdomen for almost three months now, sometimes severe, but it was taking for ever for the doctors to figure it out.  One doctor appointment and test at a time.  First we thought, return of the serous cystadenoma ORS and/or adhesions.  I still think it was partially adhesions, because Mary53's ball rolling relieved me of so much pain, but I still had other problems.  They are pretty sure my main problems are diverticulosis and looping redundant colon.  While finding this out over the past few months I was occasionally taking prescription pain pills, tylenol, advil, 2,500 mgs of antibiotics for 14 days.  The more I took, the more I had hot flashes - sweating like crazy and feeling more and more sluggish again.  This is when I starting planning on getting back to cramming the herbs back in... as soon as I could get the energy back to go get them.  I was thinking - years ago I had read or heard that our menstrual cycles are part of us for a lot of reasons, but one important thing in relation to our own (women's health) was that the bleeding is a cleansing process.  It is a release for toxins in our bodies.  I started thinking about how my four brothers and all men in general sweat (they don't complain about it like we do, because it has always been for them, but suddenly dropped on us after menopause or surgical menopause - drastically sudden).  Since my hysterectomy, I am not getting rid of the toxins through menstruation, but I do sweat a lot more.  Sweating is another way our body gets rid of toxins.  I asked a Naturopathic Doctor about this on an internet site and she confirmed that has a lot to do with it this side effect of menopause. That is why I am excited to do this again... will be my test.  To flush out the toxins and to replenish the natural simulated hormones in a body that is clean and able to absorb as much as possible.

Sorry so long.... I get carried away sometimes!
