Maybe it will go away!

I'm getting more and more confused, nervous and just scared now that I have booked my surgery to take the complex cyst out. Yesterday I received the day before instructions which include drinking that crap that will keep me up pooping the entire night before the scariest days of my life. So today I'm going in to sign consent forms and meet with my gyn/onc again. I'm going to ask for another us for my own piece of mind and am actually still waiting over a week for a phone call to make the MRI appt that my original incompetent Drs office hasn't called me on. At least if they do the us and it has either grown or shrunk than I will feel better about what's happening. The strange thing is that my pain has gone. It hasn't hurt at all for 2 weeks. I've read stories of women who had 4cm an larger sold complex cysts that did go away. But yet the dr said they dont. I personally feel that he should be requesting any test he can to make sure this is a necessary surgery an to also rule out other issues with an MRI. The thing I find the scariest is that my gyn

Well something doesn't sound right, someone got your US report to your doctor.  The main thing is that you have a gyn/oncologist looking at these films and doing your surgery?  Hey all I can say is you only have one chance of getting this right the first time.  Why take the chance?  There has to be more than just a complex cyst of 4cm.  All I can say is I have ovarian Cancer and mine came back, even after having excellent surgery, by a top rated gyn/oncologist.  This disease is ugly and it isn't anything to mess with.  I don't mean to scare you and I hope your stuff turns out to be nothing and you are cancer free, but again why take the chance!!

Sorry, I hit send by mistake.  The confusing thing is that my gyno brought me in before the radiologist even read the report and she told me it had to come out and was pretty nervous about it.  Then the radiologist report stated to wait 6-8 weeks and do another US.  The gyn/onc prior to seeing the pictures, said I could wait or schedule surgery but after seeing the pics himself called me saying he felt more strongly we should take it out.  What if its gone already?  I mean, it doesnt hurt anymore and maybe its just shrinking already and they will go in there and it will be gone right?  The other thing that really really blew me away was that I read on the Gilda Radner OC site that 70% YES 70% of women who find out they have OC have advanced stage due to having no symptoms until its too late.  Why arent Dr.s doing more to fix this?  Why arent women being tested at certain ages for OC?  This is just insane:(
