Just had to come back to say that the scan was all clear!! wey hey, I am so relieved. I just want to say how much I admire all you ladies here, I wish you all good health and much happiness.
Thanks for being here. xx
Thankyou both for your replies, I have today made a private appointment to get an ultra sound scan. It is costing me an arm and a leg but I really want to get this sorted. It's amazing how quickly doors will open when we open our cheque books.
I will be back after Tuesday to update you. Thanks.
I would suggest you contact your care provider.....get your test results....ask what they indicate......and, make certain he understands you are not comfortable waiting six weeks!
Be a strong advocate for yourself.....if not you, who?
Peace.

When you stop to think about it, the symptoms you describe can be for all sorts of things. Urinary tract issues, bowel issues, and more. Please don't jump to the worst possible conclusion. But, you know your body, and you certainly want to get checked out.
If you had a CA-125 blood test, "normal" is under 35 or 25 depending on the lab. This test is not a good diagnostic test for ovarian cancer because the number can be high due to inflammation, illness, etc. It's best used after diagnosis as a means of testing for reoccurrence. However, the number is in the normal range for some women with ovarian cancer recurrence -- it's just not a useful test for them.
A transvaginal ultrasound should show both ovaries at normal size, assuming you don't have cysts/masses on the ovaries. If you do, keep in mind that most cysts, even large ones, are benign. If they can't see the ovaries, they should order a CT scan or MRI to get a better picture of what is going on.
Good luck, and keep in touch.
