I also feel strongly about this too and I have written to medhelp asking them to pin up some kind of post to new members, explaining how to use the forum. Hopefully they will.

I think we need to know who is posting on here and the additional information should be mandatory....even though who knows who really is behind a computer (as we are all finding out lately). Maybe we should not answer any posts if they poster cannot clarify who they are and where they are from...Since it has been pretty intense on here lately..maybe Medhelp should inforce this rule ..just like other sites do in order to "keep track" of who is who...There are ways people have to verify who they are...at this point with the forum being the way it is I would strongly recommend this...Gia
I hate the way things have become but due to multiple personality disorders on here I usually don't even answer people who have no info in their profile. If they are asking us to give up personal information and experiences with our care and our Drs the least they could do is trust us with enough information to help them. I know some people just don't know, but when I see that someone has been a member for several years or even months without putting something in the profile than I will not answer them. This is an interactive community and those who hide themselves and lurk in the shadows are not being team players.
I sure wish they'd tack this up at the top!
Several have come on today with blank profiles. I hope they will consider adding age, stage (if it applies), where they live, and some background info on their problem or question. Thanks, Marie
Marie thanks for stating all this... It is difficult enough to try to help someone at all let alone when we have not details... stage and age are really important and other pertinent information.
I agree Marie, as we have to write a message asking you this basic information and then wait for your reply, this then delays the time in which we can try to help you with your questions.
