Smoking hugely increases the risk of clots, as does higher dosages of oral birth controls.
After surgery, no smoking, and make yourself move around. The movement will halp keep the blood flowing through the way it's supposed to.
Hang in there!

I developed two blood clots, one after my debulking surgery in my leg and one very large clot in my left arm as a result of my port.  It was scary and not much fun taking Lovanex shots for 2 weeks!
