Ovarian Cancer Symptoms?! PLEASE help!!!

I am 23 years old, and I KNOW people say its rare for people my age to have Ovarian Cancer but there are STILL chances.  here are symptoms I am experiencing

- Pain in my lower right abdomen that comes and goes that ranges from a dull ache to a sever.e stabbing pain (not always around my period.  Recently the pain has been pretty constant

- Occasionally sore breasts are associated with it (right now they are so sore and im not near my period at all)

- Pain in my right leg that feels like soreness that radiates through out my leg (felt a lot of the time)

-  SEVERE constipation and I really mean severe. I even try to eat things that usually bother my stomach just so i can use the bathroom and it doesnt work.

- Frequent urination which i wouldnt personally consider a symptom since i never had the best bladder, but recently its gotten worse where if i press on my right side (pain side) i have an intense urge to urinate.  I could possibly have a UTI not sure yet.

- Occasional bloating and pressure in the area.

Now, I went to the gyno last january for this problem (it was the first time i have ever went to one) and i tried to explain my symptoms to her and she said she didnt feel anything (and as i recall, the pain went away from the time i made the appointment til i actually went)  Suggested i shop around for an ultra sound since they are between 6-700 dollars and that was it.  She didnt tell me at all what it could possibly be and said ill meet you up front and i had to interrupt her and ask for birth control and she gave me a prescription and said as a matter of fact if the pain goes away within three months dont bother getting the ultra sound.  The pain actually DID go away for about 4-5 months but came back  on and off again and i lost the prescription for the ultra sound so i didnt get one.  Im going to make another appointment tomorrow since they were closed when i called today.

I am still on birth control and have NOT had sex so there is no chance of pregnancy

Also, i dont know if this could have anything to do with it but, my mother had endometriosis and ovarian cysts when she was younger and actually had to have some cysts surgically removed.  Her sisters and a few of my cousins have the same thing, could it be possible i have cysts?  Its ALWAYS on my right side.  When i was about 17 or 18 i had bad accident where i got stabbed so severely in my left lower abdomen with the top of a hockey stick that i couldnt walk easily for a while and had a lump of scar tissue for months if not a year not to mention the paint from the stick embedded into my skin.  It was bad, but i have never had any pain in my left side since then and i dont know if i have permanently damaged my ovary or what, but even before that i remember when i would ovulate it was always on the right side.

I know its a lot but im SOO terrified that i have cancer.  Please any information is very much appreciated

Hi.  I could use some advice.  I am a mother of 7.  Age 36.  I have been very bloated for months now.  I dismissed this as possible weight gain, which is not normal.  My tummy from right at my ribs down is bloated and hard.  Uncomfortable to push on....a bit painful when pressing low.  I have so much pain in my lower back and abdomen, more on my left side (right ovary gone because of a benign tumor at age 18).  I feel sick.  Nausous.  Completely exhausted and just achey all over.  Headaches.  No fever.    I do not have a Dr. here yet.  Tried one today but appts are a week away.  I dont think I can manage any longer.  I have a large family to take care of.  Would it be insane to go to the ER for something like this?  Thanks.  Any advice appreciated.

Hi  BonnieRay
Make sure when you have an ultrasound it is a internal pelvic ultrasound.I had similar symptons and was treated for IBS for 8 months until they finally done an internal pelvic ultrasound and found that I had stage 3 c ovarian cancer. Now I  am in remission for 5 years and only wish someone had told me to have that done and not just a normal ultrasound. Best Wishes.

Hi BonnieRay.  It could be cysts.  It could also be a lot of other things.  I know it doesn't help when people say it usually isn't ovarian cancer but it almost always isn't.

It could also be your appendix, and many other things.

Get to a doctor -- one that will LISTEN to you and one you feel comfortable with.  Get that ultrasound if it will ease your mind.  It's your body.  Sometimes you have to insist that there's something wrong because doctor's tend not to assume the worst (and most of the time that's a good thing).

If you don't feel well, there's a reason.  Make them listen.
