Ovarian Cancer after a TAH

sjz
My sister is braca 1 positive and had brst cancer at ages 24 and 28, she is now in her 50's. She had a TAH several years ago but is now having several signs of Ovarian cancer.  Is it posible to get ovarian cancer after a TAH. Her doctor doesn't think that she needs to have a Ca-125 drawn.

Unfortunately, yes, it is possible to develop 'ovarian cancer' even years after a TAH/BSO.  It is more commonly called Primary Peritoneal Cancer instead of simply ovarian cancer.  It is believed to develop from ovarian cells or abnormal cells left as residue from the earlier removal, but I cannot say that the medical community is absolutely certain that this is indeed the cause.

I am 37 yrs old and have had problems since I was 15 having cyst, long drawn out period, pelvic pain etc. I went into the hospital about a week 1/2 ago, for extreme pain on my left side. lower near the ovary area that extended into the crease of the groin, which then radiated around to my back.  They ran blood test, ct test w/out contrast & xrays.  They were basically looking for kidneys stones due to the amount of blood they found in my urine.
well they said they found nothing, advised it looked as if I may have a cyst on my left ovary, but would not say anymore.
I went to see my obgyn the following morning.  He ordered a Sonogram/ tv/.. he said looks good.
Well after a week I still had the pain, I had gotten the films, and transcript from the hospital. And from the research I have done, I have multiple calcification near my ureters, pelvis area, plus have cyst located on my left ovary and right.
Now I do have an abdominal ahernia that is not showing yet, could this cause my problems or discomfort.
I also feel very bloaded all the time, can't eat much no apetite, very very tired all the time.  Nausatted after I get up in the morning and cannot lay on my right side, left or on my stomach for to long.
can you help me at all on what I should do...

Thank you
Dawn

Cont - from my earlier comment, those symptoms I have are the same as having Cervical cancer. Just very nervous because I am a single parent with a 5yr old.  and it seems like no one wants to help me because of my age.  Like on the report it said for this persons age all looks normal.  Not sure what that mean.

Thank you again

My suggestion is to take your films and transcript to an appointment with your doctor and have him or her explain the reports, and ask which specialist he or she would suggest that you see next if you need more care.  Your post reads as if you have multiple problems.

Thank you for your feedback.  After I went to my GYN and he said that all my female parts looked normal.  I then went to my surgeon, but before my appointment I had gone to the hospital and got all my films, and transcripts.  Altough dont know if he even looked at them or not.  He said in my exam that I had a Abdominal Ahernia, but really could not explain the pain I was having in the ovary area.  Advised me to take an anti inflammatory.
So I had a friend of mine that is studing Radiology, and had her take my films and report to her teacher he is in the pratice to see if maybe he can give any feedback for now.

Thank you again
