I still think I might be the youngest cyster in this party. I am only 19. Didn't want to spend my time recovering from major surgery. I am so gosh dang bored during the day. All the Dvd's been watched, Daytime TV has nothing I want to watch. So I sit around and do nothing. Anyone have any ideas on something to entertain me?

I know I have usually been late checking into the party but this is really early.  Haven't even had supper yet.  Oh well, eat as we go, I guess.

The story behind my name is that I had my RA at college call me LoLo and then one of my best friends he and I make up nicknames for each other and he came up with LoLoBoBo. I call him Timmy Wimmy Pooh Bear. He also calls me Loey and stuff like that. Its just a nickname

Hey to everyone.  I am finally feeling like myself again.   Welcome to all the new cysters.  Sorry to see that some of you are so young and dealing with this but hope you can look at us older cysters for a shoulder to lean on.

I'm making a cup of green tea - I usually have wine at the cyber parties but these scones are so tempting I just have to have a nice cup of tea with them.

By the way - I had quite a scare after my surgery in that my doctor saw something on my liver.  Having already had cancer it freaked me out.   My GP ordered an abdominal US to see what was up.  More waiting.....and finally the word that it must have been a scar from an old surgery but whatever it is it did not even show up on the Ultra sound and my metabolic panel was fine so they said forget about it.

So....pass the margaritas!!!!  When I finish my tea and scones I am going to them!

Hello ladies.  Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.  I started working on my new garden yesterday and my neighbor let me borrow his tiller.  What a difference that made!!!  My new bed is just about ready.  It was a bit too windy out for me today so I really did not do any gardening.  Tomorrow I hope to finish my bed.  This period has sucked all of my energy too.  I have been napping off and on all day long.  I think tonight I will just take a cup of tea please.

My screen name is actually deceiving.  I am also waiting for a liver transplant as well as surgery for ovary removal.
I've made spaghetti sauce tonite.  Any one in for that.

Can't remember where you live?  We had lots of wind in Chicago yesterday and today so wondering if you are nearby.  I'll bet your gardens are beautiful.  Don't you just love getting your hands in the dirt?

I am in Maryland.  The winds today were like 15mph - 25mph.  Probably breezy compared to what you had.  I can't wait to get my garden done.  My bulbs I planted last fall have already come up and are starting to bloom.

Hi all! Well it's another very chilly day here at the gateway to the snowy mountains. Forecasted first snow fell in the mountains yesterday and by the feel of the chill in the wind today, I would say it's falling again! So, I made some pumpkin soup and have some grated parmesan cheese, sour cream, chopped shallots and some oven baked turkish bread to go with it. I know it's getting a little warmer in some parts of the world, but let me know if you'd like a steaming bowl - I've got my ladle ready!!

My awkward moment of the week....  Why is it that just when you think you have become totally immune to the humiliation of being a part of the medical system something sneaks up on you and nabs you????   I was at my appointment yesterday with my endocrinologist who treats my thyroid cancer.  I wanted his feedback on whether not HRT was contraindicated given my ca history.

So in the midst of asking me a variety of questions he asked if I was experiencing vaginal dryness.  I tunred into a bumbling idiot.  I am sure I turned three shades of red which made it even more awkward.  The thing that I was trying to say is that we haven't had sex yet (my post op instructions said wait two weeks).  But for some reason that I cannot fathom I was embarassed to explain that I didn't know if I had vaginal dryness because I had yet to test drive the new, ovary free vagina.  I mean, after everything I have been through why on earth would a question re vaginal dryness embarass me?????  I walked out of there doing the "stupid stupid stupid" head smack!

Hi all...

I'm in New York and my screen name is actually quite silly. It's the name of the fiberglass pool we're putting in this spring. I have been trying to convince hubby for over 10 years now for an inground pool and before I found out about any of this, he finally agreed. I am so happy I have something to look forward to and plan. It has helped keep my mind occupied. It was a gorgeous day here too and I planted pansies in all my pots. It's so nice to read about all the fun things you all are doing. It's relaxing. I think I'll have my cup of tea now too.

Sorry 'bout the delay, had to run number one son into work! I'm gonna put the whole pot of soup on the bench so that you and anyone else interested can help yourselves. I'm still giggling at your "embarrassing moment". Isn't it incredible that we can go thru sooooo much, and still be embarrassed by a question!! I reckon you were probably so GOBSMACKED THAT HE EXPECTED THAT YOU'D BE "DOING IT" ALREADY, that you thought to yourself, "how do I answer this" ..... "Are you kidding??!!!! I'm not gonna "do it" for the rest of tha year ya fool!!!!" What do ya reckon AnotherKate????? Give us the news!! Is it or isn't it???
