Ovarian Cancer

So a week ago my mom went to the hospital to get something treated . She didn't tell me. She just told me she had a 10cm lump somewhere in her stomach. Doctors supposdely ran a test and they have found yellow liquid when it's suppose to be clear. My mom was recently called in abruptly and she went. She came home and told me that it was Ovarian Cancer. I don't know what stage she is in. She won't tell me much. All I know is that 10 cm lump. Yellow liquid. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

I had a 12 cm mass on one ovary. Diagnosis:  1A.   It was removed 8-1/2 years ago, and I finished chemo 8 years ago.  And I intend to live "forever." Good luck!

If she is not treated with surgery and chemo for cancer it will spread.  In early stages if treated she had a good chance to beat it.  Live forever?  None of will live forever.  Marie

If they biopsied the fluid and it came back ovarian cancer she will need surgery and staging.  THis MUST be done by a gyn/onc.  They have more training and more experience debulking cancer.  If all she has is the one tumor on the ovary, chances of catching it early are great.  Come back and let us know when you get more info.  Myself and all the regulars here will be here to support you both all the way.  Marie
