Ovarian Caner, Hot Flashes after hysterectomy

Had surgery in early December 2005.  To date still having hot and cold flashes.  Does anyone have same symtoms?  Is this the menopause part from the hysterectomy?  Can anyone with the same,  tell me if this will continue or subside?

Yes the Newlasta gave me bone pain as well.  Hope the injection works for the purpose given.  No nausea also, I am thankful for that, taking Kytril.

Neulasta gave me unbearable bone pain, others nothing. I am having Neupogen this time and it is painful for me too. Its odd how everybody reacts differently to meds. I feel fortunate that I don't have any sort of nausea or some other symptons.

Thanks for the info, I will wait to see what the Dr. has to say.  And just hope that they will subside.   Tomorrow I go for a Nulestra injection.  I heard it can give you bone pain?  My white count was low.....

My Mom had TAH late December.  She also has hot/cold flashes and that is menapause.  I've read that it does occur right after surgery.  Im sure it will subside within time, she also just started her treatment this week so taking anything for it now is out of question.  The main and most important thing is to beat this diseas, everything else is managable.  Take care

I had my surgery in 2003 and still having Hot Flashes. The Chemo (taxol and carbo) seem to really intensify these for me. They are not as bad now. Mostly in the night and evening is when I get them, they certainly are not as bad but I wish that they would go away!

Maybe the soy milk might be helpful - I prefer chocolate, but the vanilla is good too.  I am hoping that since it is medical menopause, it will go away as quickly as it came.  Who knows.
God Bless you and keep me posted.

Did not want to take any pills for this yet! Currently going thru chemo and waiting to see what the Dr. has to say.  But same as you, the night sweats, and the hot and cold on and off. Just hope this will subside...

Did you loose your ovaries?  I had my right ovary removed and 90% of my left one due to large dermoids on 12/21/05.  I have been suffering hot/cold flashes, night sweats, severe mood swings and anxiety and little sleep at night.  My period has not returned.  This is menopause!  I have been drinking soy and my dr. gave me Lorezopan (sp) as needed for the anxiety. Girl I feel your pain.  I had someone recomend estroven (natural) so I may start taking that.  After all we women go through, to suffer this is a pain!
